Valuing Yourself
04/23/2014

Thank goodness my father was old school.  When I started dating he insisted the boy come to the front door, no honking or me running out. Also, I had to stand by the car door until my date opened it -- and not from the inside, but standing outside by the door. I remember a date thanking me for teaching him how to be a gentleman. My father threatened me that he would be watching from the window. That's just one example.

I remember my father saying, "If you value yourself, others will value you too."

Guess what I am teaching my son and daughters.
