My Home, My rules
06/21/2016

My daughter didn't get a phone until she was about 17. She was home schooled and didn't need to call home. My son is almost 16 and still doesn't own one. He has no need. I wouldn't mind him having a phone, but not a smartphone.

There is way too much out there and it's not worth it. When they reach adulthood they should, of course, be given more freedom. But if they are still very dependent upon you, living in your house, not paying rent, etc. You still have guidance to give and a say in what goes on under your roof.
