Knowing When It's Best to Move On
12/13/2016

As a teenager, I thought I was ready to be in a relationship with my boyfriend. I had to break off the relationship when he began trying to push me into marriage.

We were not dating enough time to even think about marriage. He was a very sweet guy and I loved how much he cared about people. Eventually his insecurities and neediness became a problem. What alarmed me is what he said before I considered breaking it off with him. He kept on saying over and over again that he would "not know what" to do if I ever left him.

Sure enough, I ended up leaving him when I realized that I was in way over my head with him. I was too young and he was too needy. We both moved on and it really was the best for us. Time is necessary for love.
