I can relate to your caller that found our her husband cheated because she contracted HPV. Please let callers know that there is so much at risk when this happens. I found out right after my husband and I separated 5 years ago that I had HPV. I didn't realize at the time what kind of problems there would be.
I now have to get tested regularly for cancer. I also have also had irregular pap smears that result in biopsies and numerous tests. Luckily I have a proactive doctor now. He does not shame me and supports me in a positive atmosphere. It is very humiliating and I have to remind myself that it is a medical condition and it can happen to anyone.
