I hear you talking about putting kids in martial arts... so I decided to put my almost 4-year-old boy into "Kendo." Today was his first class.
Here was the best part: Although he was the youngest in the class, he kept up with the other kids.
Worst part: watching him be out of his comfort zone since he is the only kid that doesn't speak Japanese.
Funniest part: when he picked up the Shinai (bamboo stick that represents a sword) for the first time and held it like a rifle.
I'm so very proud of my little boy for trying something new. I know it's going to be great for him.
