I have to thank you for guiding me into being a stay-at-home mom 16 years ago. At that time, my neighbor asked me if I knew a "Dr. Laura". Well, I worked all the time, so no, I did not. And listening to talk radio was not part of my life. Then I got pregnant for the third time. I started listening to your show every chance I could and right before I delivered my daughter, Isabel, I sold my business and came home to raise my 3 children. Two years later, I delivered my fourth child, a son. Thanks to you I was home to raise all four children. Two years ago, my daughter, Isabel, passed away at the age of 13. Thanks to my neighbor and your advice, I had the privilege of being there for my children and being part of every day of my daughter's life. She was a gift that changed our lives.
Today, I'm still home, and with a very broken heart, I'm here to tell you that I am my kid's mom.
