Facing Tough Decisions With An Open Mind
10/29/2015

Dr. Laura,

I am emailing you to thank you for some help you gave me a few months ago in regard to my daughter. She wanted to go to Hawaii to work on a project. At that time you told me that now is the time she should be doing these type of things. That I should support her decision to travel and explore.

It has now been about 8 weeks. She has been saving and tomorrow morning she will be headed to Kona to work as a cooks helper. I prayed a lot over these past few weeks and found comfort in doing so. I also found peace with you advice. I am grateful for your words of wisdom and appreciate the help you have given to me over the last 15 years. It has helped me to be a better Mother to my children, a fun loving girlfriend to my husband and an overall better person.

I appreciate all you do. You have made the tough decisions I have faced more bearable, by opening my mind to change. I hope that this adventure that my daughter is headed on will be one that will be an enjoyable experience for her. I think this will be very  rewarding to her emotional well-being too. I'm hoping she will send you a postcard from Hawaii!

Have a great day and thank you again,

Tina
