I really wanted to binge this morning. The anxiety was overwhelming. I had even planned out in my mind what I was going to eat. Instead, I drank some water and caught up on a podcast I missed last week.
The mini lecture was "How to Keep Perfectionism from Hurting Your Marriage." I am totally guilty of trying to be perfect. What you were describing was me!
I am working on being kinder to myself and opening up to people I trust, especially my husband. I really needed to hear those words this morning. I am going to listen to that podcast the next time I'm feeling the need to be perfect.
