July 20, 2016Should We Teach 'Marriage 101' in Schools?
I was reading an article the other day about whether or not Marriage 101 should be compulsory in schools. Evidently, for the past 14 years, Northwestern University has offered a course educating students on the realities and misconceptions of marriage.
Do I think marriage should be taught in our public schools?
Absolutely not.
Our public schools are places of social engineering. Most of them are already giving information telling kids that marriage isn’t necessary. It’s about anything they want to do and that any combination of people, places and things can be defined as anything they want.
So, how can your kids learn about marriage?
Try having a decent one-on-one conversation and answer their questions when they ask them. If their grandparents have been married for 50-plus years, have them sit down with Grandpa and Grandma and find out how they did it. Unless you come from a family where no one can keep a relationship in tact for more than 40 minutes, that should work.
